Welcome to NICE International School Website.
I am delighted to have this opportunity to introduce myself as the next Principal of the NICE school in Negombo. I would like to thank the Governors; I hope to exceed their expectations and meet their aspirations for the continued development of the school, building on the work done by my predecessor, Mrs. Nivedita Chakravarti. The education of young people is a very important concern for parents and as a team, working together; we must ensure that parents feel confident that their children are receiving the best possible education appropriate to their age, ability and aptitude.
My wife, Moira, and I are qualified teachers and I have worked in all sectors of the UK education system from Primary through Secondary to Tertiary Education. We have both worked in other countries and we are currently at Antwerp International School.
I believe that children learn better when they are happy and when children are learning well they are happy. My intention is to effect a smooth transition so that everyone feels secure and confident and we can concentrate on doing our jobs well and playing our parts appropriately in accordance with clear roles, rules and responsibilities. Internationally orientated education provides a wonderful opportunity to learn and practice understanding of and respect for individuals from many cultures – I look forward to this wonderful opportunity.
